In Northern Italy they called out the strike today. President of the Italian dairy organisation APL, Roberto Cavaliere, said: „Tomorrow I will go to Rom to tell our colleagues in the other parts of Italy to join our strike.“ In France 40% of the 90.000 dairy farmers are still on strike. Further activities for awareness rising are planed. The FSNEA-President published that he is not any more against the strike but says also that strike is not the solution. In Germany are many activities going on and getting stronger. The participation on this strike is different in the regions and still marginal. In Belgium are more than 1000 Farmers striking and yesterday about 350.000 Liter Milk have not been delivered. In Austria a lot of successfull activities are going on and the number of striking farmers is rising. It says a couple of hundert. By now in Luxembourg around 100 farmers have stopped to deliver milk. Yesterday in the french part of Switzerland they have called out the strike. Because of that the dairy companies put pressure on the farmers in the hope to frighten them. In the Netherlands the willingness to participate on the strike is developing in quite a good way and better than thought before. There is still a lot of mobilisation work going on. Furthermore there are every day actions planned for the whole week. Spain: In Galicia they try to mobilise the farmers to join the strike and they are looking for, where and how they can act to support the french farmers. In different countries of Europe there are powerfull activities in the pipeline for common actions at borders and other ideas concerning dairy companies.
