Wednesday, 7th of October, the dutch minister of Agriculture met the Farm Board to talk about the current situation of the milk market. As representatives of the dutch dairy farmers' organisations, Sieta van Keimpema, president of the Dutch Dairymen Board (DDB) and Hans Geurts vice president of the Nederlandse Melkveehouders Vakbond (NMV) joined the meeting. They were supported by a couple of members, who wanted to continue putting pressure on politics. Before this meeting in the dutch parliament, both organisations had a dialogue with a representative of the dutch socialistic party (SP), who had declared his solidarity to dairy farmers just before the reunion.

Minister Verburg's speech was more than disappointing. She spread wrong information about the demands of dairy farmers to politics and contended that they were demanding for higher subsidies to be able to escape the crisis.
