Launch of the campaign "Milk for Juncker"
Since Monday 7th December, dairy farmers from all over Europe have been sending fresh milk to EU Commission President Juncker. The latter has failed to react to our open letter, in which we called for EU Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan to be removed from his office.
Our message: Too much milk creates problems! President Juncker should now experience this up close!
Our member organisation from Luxembourg LDB plans a media campaign on 18th December. Farmers of the LDB will bring 50 milk cartons to the post office in Luxembourg with their tractors and send them to Juncker's office.
Take part in the campaign by also sending Juncker a carton of fresh milk, accompanied by a short note in which you state why Hogan cannot be accepted as Commissioner for Agriculture anymore!
Germany: Dairy farmers provoke chaos on the roads on the occasion of a visit of Chancellor Angela Merkel
German dairy producers used German Chancellor Merkel's visit to East Frisia to call attention to the situation of dairy farmers. On 7th December, 140 tractors circulated in front of the meeting venue, provoking massive disturbances in traffic.
