The milk delivery strike in Europe has reached a new dynamic. Having started in a slower speed than their French neighbours, German dairy farmers are now increasingly participating. More than 20.000 farmers are reducing or totally stopping to deliver their milk to the dairies. In the Black forest region already 70 per cent of the farmers of the region joined the milk strike. As a difference to last years strike also ecological dairy farmers are part of the Europewide action. In many regional actions throughout the country milk is being brought to the field.The TV-stations of the countries are reporting about the Europe wide protests.

In Belgium the dynamic is even higher and the motivation to strike is strongly further increasing. Everyday several hundred thousands of liters of milk are being brought to the fields and more than 1000 farmers are participating. Crop farmers and several third world organisations have announced their support to the dairy farmers.

In Austria the signals are also demonstrating a higher participation. More than 10 per cent of the farmers joined the strike. Today there is a meeting with the Austrian Chancellor and the Austrian organisation of dairy farmers IG-Milch.

In the Netherlands a big action close to Amsterdam will take place, where dairy farmers distribute their milk on fields. More and more farmers participate in the actions. 

In France still more than 45 per cent are on strike. As part of a europewide action there are also barrels of milk being brought out to the fields in twenty regions of the country.

Italian dairy farmers are pushing the actions and mobilisation in their country. 200.000 litres of milk will flow in front of representatives of the media today. The Italian organisation APL is very satisfied with the reaction of farmers and consumers.

Also in Luxemburg 150.000 Liters of milk will flow today. 15 per cent of the dairy farmers in Luxemburg have joined the strike so far. The number is expected to increase.
