7 p.m.: 30 % of French dairy farmers - a number of 30.000 did not deliever their milk the 11th of September. In countries like Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg dairy farmers also stopped delivering their milk. There is a strong tendency that other countries will follow.

5000 dairy farmers started strike this morning

Hamm, 11.09.09: As the state television of France reported at 2 p.m. 40 % of the dairy farmers are not delivering their milk. After announcing the milk strike yesterday for France, the French dairy farmers have started all over France to hold back their milk. This morning it was reported, that over 5000 farmers  already participate in that. A spokesperson of the APLI said, that they have not expected such a strong start.More organisation have announced their solidarity and their will to support the strike with several actions.

Dairy farmers from Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg have said, that they would stop  their milk delivery today at a big manifestation in Germany.  The motivation to strike is very high. Additionally autoroutes have been blocked in Belgium.
