Dear representatives of the media,
Equal treatment and a fair Common Agricultural Policy - these are the demands of various agricultural organisations from the three Baltic states and the European Milk Board (EMB). On the occasion of the European Summit of heads of state and government on Thursday 13 December, they are planning a joint action near the EU Council building in order to give emphasis to their demands. They call for equal conditions for direct payments in all EU countries and for an efficient crisis instrument in the dairy sector - the Market Responsibility Programme (MRP).
We would like to invite you to the following events on 13 December 2018:
11:00 Action near the EU Council building
In presence of: Milk producer delegations from all over Europe as well as organisations from other sectors, among others the association of Lithuanian and Latvian agricultural organisations, the Estonian Farmers Federation.
Venue: Rue de la Loi, 1040 Brussels (between the Schuman roundabout and the Parc du Cinquantenaire, see map below).
12:00 Press conference
In presence of: Representatives of the EMB Executive Committee and the Lithuanian milk producer organisation LPGA.
