Politicians in France, Austria and Luxemburg have sent important signals of support to the dairy farmers. Talks with the Austrian Chancellor ended with the announcement of 100 % support for the European dairy farmers on national and European level. The Premier minister of Luxembourg had also invited to talks, so did the french agricultural minister and they all announced their support. This is an important step on the national level. But as the dairy farmer organisations of all three countries stated, it is not the end of their strike participation. "We will strike until there are serious signals from the European level, until effective EU-measures are put on their way", so Ernst Halbmayr from the Austrian IG-Milch and his French colleague Pascal Massol from APLI. That is the message to politicians and to farmers throughout the countries. Meanwhile the protests in Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands are still going on in a strong way.
