On 4 March, the MIG and the EMB will present to the press and the Belgium federal ministry of Agriculture the results of an independent study on the costs of milk production in Belgium.

Similar studies have already been conducted in Germany, France and the Netherlands where the publications had caused quite a sensation. Also the Belgian figures show clearly that there is a discrepancy between the production costs and the prices that milk farmers get for their products.
