Because of the protest activities of the dairy farmers in Europe the policy has already started to move on national and European level. On 5th of October there will be an informal meeting of the agricultural ministers of the EU member states in Brussels. Pascal Massol from APLI in France is saying. „Our dairy farmers are very concerned about this meeting and they are going to observe it. If the results are not concerning the EMB proposals the dairy farmers will react on that in their way. Only a positive result will be able to relax the tight situation.”
In the run-up of the agricultural minister meeting there will be on Friday, 2. October, an European action day of the dairy farmers. For that many and powerful action are going to be prepared in the countries. Furthermore there are in many countries still permanent and regional actions like picnics with consumers, to give milk away, to distribute flyers, to demonstrate in front of dairy companies, and so on.
