Dairy farmers' protest in Sweden
On Monday 21st September about 1000 dairy farmers protested in Stockholm to call attention to their difficult situation. They called the Ministry of Agriculture to support Swedish farmers. They also submitted a petition with signatures of 167 000 consumers. Many farmers had come with their tractors, some covering distances of more than 1000 kilometres. Many producers were dressed in white to symbolise the current milk lakes. Our Swedish member organisation "Sveriges Mjölkbönder" also participated in the rally.

New protests in Germany against dropping milk prices
- According to the German magazine Focus, on 20th September farmers blocked the central warehouse of the supermarket chain Edeka in Neuenkruge (Lower Saxony) with about 200 tractors in order to protest against their too small margins. Arriving trucks had to drive at walking pace to reach the warehouse.

- The news portal Agrarheute reported that on 21st September about 400 farmers with 200 tractors drove up to the central warehouse of the trading company Bünting in Nortmoor in Emsland (Northern Germany). The action followed the company's a price cut for dairy products. Members of the EMB member organisations BDM and AbL participated in the rally, as well as members of the regional farmers' association Landvolk.
Belgium: The King and the dairy farmers
On the occasion of the Belgian King's visit in the Eastern Belgian municipality of Amel on September 22, Belgian milk producers discussed with the King about the difficulties that dairy farmers in Belgium and in the whole of Europe are currently facing. The Belgian dairy farmer association MIG gave King Philippe a gift basket with Fairebel products.
